Medical Officer of Humanitarian Demining Unit

After obtaining a degree from the Mykolaiv Basic Medical College in the specialty of "Medical Affairs," Alyona worked as a paramedic in the emergency medical response team for nearly 20 years. However, her journey did not stop at medical practice, and Aliona decided to become a part of the UDS team.
💬 "Working in emergency medical care, I understand how critical every minute is when it comes to saving lives. In the UDS team, I can apply my medical knowledge to rescue people in the most dangerous situations, where every day can be fatal. My task is to ensure the safety of those who risk their lives every day," says Alyona.
Last year, Alyona demonstrated exceptional professionalism, which was crucial in saving the lives of civilians injured in an explosion caused by an unknown explosive device in Mykolaiv region. At that time, the UDS humanitarian demining team, of which she was a part, worked directly near the site of the tragedy.For this heroic act, she was awarded the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine's "For Assistance to Defense" recognition, as well as a letter of thanks from the Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim.
