One of the tasks of the UDS is to inform the public about the risks associated with mines and other explosive remnants of war. As well as actively conduct awareness-raising activities to raise people's awareness of these risks and prevent any unpleasant incidents.
Our task is to make the environment for the life and development of our citizens safe. We work to minimize risks by creating conditions where economic and social development can flourish without restrictions.
A specialized group has been created at UDS to inform the population, which has already carried out more than 100 information activities in Mykolaiv, Kyiv and Donetsk regions.
Through our information and education programs, we aim to reduce the number of accidents caused by mines and other explosive ordnance by raising public awareness of the risks and encouraging safe behavior.
We share tips on safe behaviour by providing information through formal meetings such as lectures and seminars, as well as through informal communication. In addition, we use the media and distribute information and printing materials for a wider reach.
Our goals are not only to inform the most vulnerable populations about the risks, but also to ensure that this knowledge is effectively absorbed. We work to identify the causes of risky behaviour and promote the creation of social norms and the implementation of best practices for safe behaviour.
