Demining of Mykolaiv region continues!

UDS took part in the meeting of the coordination headquarters for clearing the territory of the Mykolaiv region from explosives with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Igor Bezkaravainyi.

The coordination headquarters is headed by the first deputy head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Heorhii Reshetilov.

At the meeting, they discussed the acceleration of demining of the territory of Mykolaiv oblast.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of mine action operators operating in the region: Ukrainian Demining Services, The HALO Trust (HALO), Norwegian People's Aid (NPA), Danish Refugee Council (DRC), NIBULON.

The Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine said that the purpose of his visit to the Mykolaiv region is to identify priority tasks to accelerate the clearance of territories from dangerous remnants of war, directly through communication with farmers, government pyrotechnic units, mine action operators and local authorities.

Yevhen Pronin, Head of the Civil Protection Department of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, reported on the state of implementation of measures to clear the territories of the region from explosives.

Oleksii Reutenko, Adviser to the First Deputy Head of the RMA, spoke about the use of mechanized demining equipment for humanitarian demining activities and demonstrated to the participants of the meeting a model of robotic demining equipment developed and manufactured in Mykolaiv oblast.

Representatives of the UDS company, which actually uses the Bozena remote demining machine in its work, acquainted the participants of the meeting with the humanitarian demining processes carried out by the company.
