Ensuring an adequate level of environmental safety has been an integral part of UDS's work since the very beginning of the company's operations. At its meeting, the Supervisory Board documented the key principles of the environmental policy.
Thus, it was determined that the company ensures the implementation of the environmental policy through:

✅ compliance with mandatory legislative and other requirements;
✅ Ensuring the implementation of preventive eco-oriented measures to optimise mine action processes at all stages of the life cycle;
✅ ensuring environmental safety by improving production and management processes;
✅ engaging the company's employees to achieve strategic and day-to-day tasks and goals by using motivation, training and professional development;
✅ maintaining effective internal and external communications to ensure that the company's team is informed of environmental management issues and complies with all legal and regulatory requirements;
✅ monitoring the compliance of contractors and suppliers with mandatory environmental requirements.
The UDS management assumes responsibility for the implementation of the tasks set in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Management System in accordance with DSTU ISO 14001:2015 (ISO 14001:2015, IDT).
In addition, for more effective implementation of the environmental policy, the company has developed the Standard Operating Procedure SOP 08.02 "Environmental Protection Measures".
In its work, UDS is guided by the principles of preserving the environment of Ukraine by improving production processes and the environmental management system, adhering to the principles of sustainable development, investing in environmental protection measures and raising environmental awareness.
The company's goal is to clear Ukraine's land of explosive ordnance, which means, among other things, restoring our country's environment.
