UDS signs memorandum of cooperation with the Volodymyrske Village Council of Mykolaiv Region
The cooperation is aimed at coordinating efforts between UDS and the local community in the field of mine action. It includes conducting non-technical survey and humanitarian demining of agricultural land, providing mine risk education to the local population, as well as exchanging expertise and cooperating on the implementation of joint projects.
🤝 The memorandum was signed by Oleksandr Romaniuk, Acting Chief Executive Officer of UDS, and Pavlo Dovhyi, Head of the Volodymyrske Village Council.
Under the memorandum, the community has already requested that UDS conduct a non-technical survey of selected land plots.
As a reminder, UDS's Southern Humanitarian Demining Department is registered and based in Mykolaiv Region. Since commencing operations in the region, UDS has conducted non-technical surveys covering more than 4,000 hectares of land, with the results validated by the National Mine Action Centre (NMAC). In addition, UDS has cleared and released more than 1,000 hectares of land, including forest land and water bodies.
In addition, UDS has signed mine action cooperation memoranda with the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, the Mykolaiv District State Administration, the Bashtanka District Military Administration, and the Snihurivka and Bereznehuvate communities.
