UDS signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Vadym Tokar, Head of the Makariv Village Council
UDS signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Vadym Tokar, Head of the Makariv Village Council of the Bucha District of the Kyiv Region.
Within the framework of the Memorandum, the first land plot of the community with an area of 9.1 hectares has already been identified. In the near future, UDS sappers, according to the relevant order of the PHCC, will carry out non-technical inspection, and subsequently cleaning using a specialized Bozena 5+ demining vehicle.
"We are waiting for tests on the use of this technique in difficult conditions in the presence of young trees and tall shrubs. However, UDS demining teams and our equipment are ready for this. I can say with confidence that we will do everything possible to clear this area of explosive ordnance and make it safe for the residents of the community," said Serhii Simonov, Head of the UDS Service Implementation Department.
The Makariv region is one of the most war-affected districts of the Kyiv region, which survived the occupation of the Russians in 2022. There are many areas contaminated with explosive objects left behind by the orcs.
UDS humanitarian demining sappers are the first after the Armed Forces of Ukraine to enter the liberated territory and clear Ukrainian land!
