UDS Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Kulykivka Settlement Council of Chernihiv Oblast
The memorandum was signed by Acting CEO of UDS Oleksandr Romaniuk and First Deputy Head of the Kulykivka Settlement Council Tetiana Sosimovych.
The document establishes cooperation in the field of mine action within the community, covering activities from conducting surveys and raising mine risk awareness among local residents to attracting international funding for humanitarian programmes.
As part of the cooperation, UDS will conduct a Non-Technical Survey (NTS) of 74.4 hectares of agricultural land. Due to active hostilities in the area, these lands are currently not being cultivated, as they are suspected to be contaminated with explosive ordnance.
The Non-Technical Survey will be the first step towards restoring agricultural production and ensuring safe living conditions for the community's residents.
UDS plans to begin the survey in July.
