UDS seized 89 Grad missiles in three days at one facility

In the village of Myrne, Mykolaiv region, during humanitarian demining operations, 89 Grad multiple rocket launcher projectiles were found and removed from a 25-hectare area.

"Intense fighting took place in this area. For almost a year, the territory was a grey zone. All known types of unexploded ordnance have been found here. Last autumn, three local residents were killed by an explosion near this very area. Even after demining machines passed through the area, destroying and neutralizing everything on the surface, we still find a large number of signals from the soil depth. The most challenging part is excavating the Grad rockets, as they penetrated the ground several meters on this field. Although it's a challenging and dangerous territory, it's being cleared slowly but surely, and by the end of February, it will be returned to the agricultural producer. " said Artem Dudlyak, the head of the operation.

After the Bozena 5+ machine carefully processed the area and prepared the soil, sappers conducted signal excavation using hand tools. Now these remnants are placed in a special place for collecting military metal.

It should be noted that on the plot of land belonging to LLC "Kedr" with an area of 86 hectares, UDS sappers are carrying out demining operations as part of a state program. A total of 40 humanitarian demining sappers are working on the site.
