UDS sappers start the second stage of training in Slovakia

At the end of November last year, UDS humanitarian demining operators completed the first stage of training - theoretical: they learned the theory of operating BOZENA machines and the rules of mechanical demining, and acquired theoretical skills in system maintenance.

Yesterday, the second stage of the training - practical - began. For several days, UDS sappers will consolidate their knowledge in practice, which includes the direct operation of BOZENA demining machines.

Each member of the group has the opportunity to "feel" the equipment: work with the machine from the remote control, "put on" attachments and refuel the equipment.

The sappers of the group, which is currently completing its training, will become instructors and train other UDS sappers in Mykolaiv region.

The Slovakian BOZENA system is a remote machine designed to clear the territory of anti-tank and anti-personnel mines with an explosive resistance of up to 9 kg of TNT. BOZENA has already proven itself to be the best in the world. It has been purchased by Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sweden, Poland, and Sri Lanka.
