UDS sappers received thanks from Vitaly Kim for saving the girl's life
On May 27, Russia committed another act of terrorism against the civilian population of Ukraine. A 17-year-old girl, Olesya Kroshchenko, was injured as a result of enemy shelling in the town of Snigurivka, Mykolaiv Region. She received a shrapnel wound to the neck with massive bleeding, which put her life at risk.
UDS sappers Anna Anisimova, Bohdan Grunkovskyi and Yevgen Ratnikov, who were near the scene of the tragedy, despite the danger, provided the injured girl with the necessary pre-medical care: they stopped the bleeding, tamped the wound and applied a bandage, stabilized the condition of the victim and quickly transported her to the Sniguriv Central District Hospital , where she was subsequently provided with specialized medical care.
Thanks to the decisive actions of our employees, who professionally applied their knowledge of tactical medicine, the life of Olesya Kroshchenko was saved.
Today, the deputy head of Mykolaiv OVA Mykola Marinov presented, on behalf of the head of Mykolaiv OVA Vitaly Kim, thanks for showing a high civic position, committing a courageous act and saving the life of Anna Anisimova, the head of NTO group No. 2, and humanitarian demining sappers of NTO group No. 2 Bohdan Grunkovsky and Yevhen Ratnikov.
We have repeatedly emphasized that technical skills save lives. That is why every UDS sapper takes courses in providing first aid and we constantly update our knowledge and skills by conducting training.
