UDS sappers are trained at the Interregional Center for Humanitarian Demining
20 UDS sappers are being trained at the Interregional Center for Humanitarian Demining in Kamianets-Podilskyi.
This course not only expands their knowledge in the field of medicine, but also includes training in the detection of explosive ordnance, NTM (non-technical inspection), and DSTU standards.
Currently, the sappers have already completed the pre-medical care unit. They have mastered skills such as splinting and tourniquets, fixing the cervical spine, non-direct cardiac massage, limb immobilization, and calling an ambulance.
UDS makes sure that deminers are trained and aware of how to provide first aid, because these acquired skills can save lives before the ambulance arrives.
