UDS representatives received Certificates of Completion for the Climate Ambition Accelerator 2025!
Andrii Lukianchenko, Environmental Safety Specialist in Demining, and Oleksandr Romaniuk, Director of Economics, successfully completed the Climate Ambition Accelerator 2025 run by the UN Global Compact in Ukraine.
During the program, they gained valuable knowledge and practical guidance on developing and implementing climate strategies aligned with leading international standards. They completed:
- ๐ theoretical online modules at the UN Global Compact Academy
- ๐ฌ facilitated practical sessions with international experts and industry leaders
- ๐ข hands-on work in GHG emissions accounting and SBTi target-setting
- ๐๏ธ training on pitching their own climate initiatives
The final event summed up six months of work and brought together 28 companies from diverse sectors.
The Climate Ambition Accelerator in Ukraine was delivered by the UN Global Compact in Ukraine with the support of the Green Transition Office and the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
The certificate ceremony was attended by Tetiana Sakharuk, CEO of the UN Global Compact in Ukraine and Chair of the Board of Regional Networks for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and Pavlo Kartashov, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
A highlight of the event was a climate projects competition supported by the FCDO: three finalists presented their solutions, and ETG won ยฃ25,000 to implement its project.
