Background on the Agency:
The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) is a state body responsible for coordinating and managing mine action activities in Azerbaijan. Established in 1998 with the support of the United Nations, the agency has since led the implementation of the national demining program. Over the years, ANAMA has cleared tens of thousands of hectares of land from mines and neutralized hundreds of thousands of mines and unexploded ordnance.
