UDS Received Handover Certificates for 96 Hectares of Cleared Land in Kyiv Region

Near the village of Ozera in Bucha district, UDS has completed humanitarian demining operations on 96 hectares of agricultural land.

The certificates confirming the handover of cleared land to the state were issued by the Mine Action Center of Ukraine.

The operations were carried out within the framework of the State Reimbursement Program for Humanitarian Demining and commissioned by the Humanitarian Demining Center.

Thanks to the completed works, the agricultural producer "AGAT AGRO M" can now safely use the cleared land for the upcoming sowing campaign, restoring it to economic circulation after a long period of inactivity.

This area, located near the Hostomel Airport, was under occupation in 2022. The land was heavily contaminated with explosive remnants of war (ERW), including 122 mm artillery shells, remnants of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and cluster munitions.

Vitalii Ilchuk, Head of Operations at UDS, commented:

πŸ’¬ β€œA total of 28 specialists were involved at the site. Despite challenging weather conditions, the team successfully completed the clearance thanks to coordinated work and the use of specialized equipment, including Bozena 5+ machines. Our EOD technicians identified and neutralized four explosive hazards, including unexploded 122 mm ordnance.”

The operations involved Large Area Battlefield Clearance (LABC) methods and mechanical demining using specialized machinery and tools.
