UDS Receive a Second Tasking Order to Survey Part of the BDLC Water Areas
The survey area covers 50 hectares.
The operations are carried out by the UDS Department of Special Demining Operations, involving a team of eight diver-sappers.
Specialized equipment is being used, including diving gear, vessels, an underwater drone, and auxiliary equipment. The works are conducted in accordance with international IMAS standards and national DSTU standards, with the aim of detecting and marking explosive hazards that may pose a threat to navigation safety, port infrastructure, and human life.
💬 “Developing our capabilities in underwater demining is one of our key priorities. We systematically invest in personnel training, equipment, and technologies to ensure the safest and most efficient execution of such operations,” said Eduard Drach, Technical Director of UDS.
As a reminder, UDS specialists have developed a technical task for surveying the Buh–Dnipro–Liman Canal (BDLC) at the request of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.
The document provides for the identification of potentially contaminated water areas and the preparation of recommendations for conducting non-technical and technical surveys or subsequent demining operations.
