UDS participation in the UN Global Compact in Ukraine project: Second ESG course development session completed
The second facilitated session of the expert working group on the development of an ESG course for Ukrainian businesses (Environmental component) has taken place. UDS continues its active participation in this initiative launched by the UN Global Compact in Ukraine.
The 2025 course focuses on the Environmental aspect of ESG. A total of five facilitated sessions are planned, each covering key elements of integrating environmental sustainability into business practices.
During the second session, participants continued to work on structuring the course and developing practical materials that will support Ukrainian companies in effectively implementing sustainable development principles. As a result of the session, a draft training program was developed, outlining the key modules and topics for the future course.
💬 "Integrating environmental safety principles into the operations of Ukrainian companies is critically important. This course is a vital step towards equipping businesses with accessible knowledge and practical tools.UDS already consistently implements environmental safety measures during humanitarian demining operations. We are pleased to contribute to the development of the ESG course and to share our practical experience and expertise in order to help build an environmentally responsible business environment in Ukraine," emphasized Andrii Lukianchenko, Environmental Safety and Demining Specialist at UDS.
The ESG course development initiative has brought together representatives of the business community and sustainability professionals from leading companies around a common goal — to make ESG knowledge accessible to all: from small to large enterprises, from beginners to those with existing reporting experience.
📄 Earlier, UDS signed the Declaration on Climate Responsibility and Environmental Impact — a UN Global Compact in Ukraine document that publicly affirms companies’ commitments to uphold environmental standards and take responsibility for their environmental impact. This step symbolized the company's active stance on implementing sustainable practices.
As a reminder, in 2024, UDS joined the UN Global Compact in Ukraine.
