UDS participated in a meeting of the demining operators cluster under the Ministry of Economy
Deputy Minister of Economy, Igor Bezkaravayny, opened the meeting and shared the results of cooperation with international organizations and the achievements of state institutions in the field of demining.
Volodymyr Baida, Director of the Humanitarian Demining Center, presented updates on the program to compensate farmers for demining agricultural land. He noted that farmers can now receive 100% compensation. To date, the Center has received 144 applications and announced 20 tenders for a total amount of 417 million UAH. The head of the Humanitarian Demining Center also expressed gratitude to UDS for providing information on the cost of demining services, which was taken into account when developing the methodology for forming the cost of demining fields.
Volodymyr Beshley, Deputy General Director of UDS, presented the company's experience in destroying explosive ordnance and disposing of war remnants. He invited demining operators to cooperate and expressed UDS's readiness to provide services for neutralizing explosive remnants of war on a subcontracting basis.
Oleh Stoyev, Head of the Demining Support Office, thanked UDS for its effective cooperation with demining operators,which allowed them to participate in tenders for demining agricultural land.
In addition, participants of the cluster were presented with new developments in standards for informing the population about the risks of explosive ordnance and the use of drones in demining activities.
