UDS launches a new rotation: more than 1,000 hectares to be cleared in three region

Sappers from UDS humanitarian demining departments “Center,” “East,” and “South” are starting a new work rotation. Operations are focused on three sites in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions, covering a total area of more than 1,000 hectares.

At the same time, UDS’s Mechanized Demining Department continues its work without interruption thanks to internal rotations.

Mechanized demining assets are being deployed, including Bozena 5+, Bozena 4+, Germina machines, and the “Zmiy” robotic ground clearance system.

In Kharkiv region, demining continues on the land of Agrofirma Yug-M LLC, covering 217.0131 hectares.

“Our main task during this rotation is to fully complete clearance at this site,” said Site Manager Vitalii Ilchuk.

In Dnipropetrovsk region, work continues on the land of AGRO KMR LLC, covering 180.7400 hectares.

“At present, our mechanized teams are carrying out soil preparation. Tomorrow, four sapper teams will begin demining using the ERW clearance method,” said Site Manager Yurii Bohdan.

In Chornobaivka, Kherson region, demining of particularly valuable agricultural land covering 606.1229 hectares is underway. Global Clearance Solutions is involved in carrying out the work.

“The priority task is to complete soil preparation at the Blahodatne-1 site for subsequent clearance by sapper teams,” emphasized Site Manager Oleksii Reutenko.
