UDS joins the Technical Committee for the development of national demining standards
UDS has officially become a collegiate member of Technical Committee TC 322. Our experience will now contribute to shaping national mine action standards in Ukraine.
Today, a meeting of Technical Committee TC 322 was held at the office of the Humanitarian Demining Center, where key issues related to the development of standardization in the field of mine action were discussed.
The agenda included the draft second edition of DSTU 8820-2:202 “Mine Action”, terminology issues, requirements for standards currently under development, amendments to DSTU 8820-4:2025, as well as the status of initiatives led by working groups.
By a separate decision of the meeting, UDS was unanimously accepted as a collegiate member of the committee. The company will be represented in the development of the new standard regulating the entire sector by Oleksii Voitsekhovskyi, Specialist in Experimental Operation of Machines and Mechanisms. This appointment recognizes the expertise and practical experience we have gained in humanitarian demining, particularly in mechanized demining, where UDS is one of the leading commercial operators in Ukraine.
“We are convinced that the standards being developed today will directly impact people’s safety and the effectiveness of demining tomorrow. That is why it is essential that working groups include professionals with real field experience,” emphasized Oleksii Voitsekhovskyi.
🇺🇦 As a reminder, according to the international IMSMA system, UDS has cleared 3,489 hectares of Ukrainian land, including territories in Kyiv, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv regions.
