UDS have fully completed operations at the site of LLC “AGRO-PROBA”

The site is located within the Makariiv Settlement Territorial Community of Bucha District, Kyiv Region. Total area: 75.3 hectares. The works were carried out commissioned by the Humanitarian Demining Center.

For the execution of the works, forces of the Mechanized Demining Department and the Humanitarian Demining Department “Center” were involved. The following humanitarian demining processes were applied: technical survey, demining using machines and mechanisms, as well as BAC clearance (Battle Area Clearance). A remotely operated Bozena 5+ machine was deployed on site.

According to the technical and clearance survey reports, the land had not been used for its intended purpose since 2022 due to the suspected presence of explosive hazards and remnants of warfare. A burned-out tank was also recorded on the site, with former military positions located nearby.

💬 “This site truly stands out from others. Here, we dealt not only with the consequences of the current war but also with findings from World War II. During the works, we twice discovered the remains of a Soviet soldier from World War II. All materials and information were handed over to the police, while the identified explosive hazards were transferred to the State Emergency Service units,” said Bohdan Podhornyi, Site Manager.

Among the explosive items found on the site were an RPG-22 and a 76 mm World War II-era artillery shell.

At present, all works at the site have been completed and internal quality control has been successfully passed. Following the completion of external quality control, the site will be officially confirmed as safe and can be returned to further use.
