UDS has won a tender to clear 86 hectares of land in Mykolaiv Oblast

UDS, a leading mine action operator, emerged as the winner of a procurement process under the state program "Compensation for costs of humanitarian demining of agricultural land".

The project involves demining 12 plots totaling 86.3179 hectares in the Shevchenkivska territorial community, Mykolaiv district, Mykolaiv region.

UDS sappers will commence work on this project in early October 2024.

"Despite the rather tight deadlines stipulated by the contract, with the completion date set for December 31, 2024, UDS is confident in the successful implementation of the project thanks to the use of robotic demining systems, which significantly reduce the time required to clear land of war remnants," said Oleksandr Romanyuk, UDS Economics Director.

The launch of government procurement for humanitarian demining of agricultural lands is a significant step towards reviving war-contaminated lands.
