UDS has signed a contract for the pilot operation of the Ukrainian mine clearance system, Germina, which will be manufactured by the PrJSC "KZVV"
Engineers from the Kramatorsk Heavy Duty Machine Tool Building Plant have developed the remotely operated robotic mine clearance system Germina URCM-3000, which is tailored to Ukrainian needs: climate conditions, soil characteristics, and landscape features.
The machine boasts high productivity and powerful specifications👇
💥 Germina has blast resistance up to 9 kg of TNT.Its working unit consists of chains with detonating hammers. The basic configuration includes a universal bucket, ensuring safe soil movement, trench clearing, and the construction of passages.
⚡️ The system's power is 380 horsepower. The demining productivity is 5,000 m² per hour, with the ability to adjust the soil treatment depth to: 5 cm, 15 cm, 25 cm, and 35 cm.
⚡️ The machine uses a foreign Caterpillar engine, one of the best, most economical, and reliable in its class.
⚖️ The system weighs 16 tons, with the capability for remote control at a distance of 1,000 m or more.
❄️☀️ Germina works year-round, in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +45°C, with continuous operation for up to 10 hours.
The designers took into account that the machine needs to clear Ukrainian fields of unexploded ordnance, typical for the Russo-Ukrainian war, such as cluster munitions, antipersonnel and antitank mines, and more.
☝️ Importantly, as a Ukrainian product, the machine will be serviced and fully restored in Ukraine, which will reduce costs and speed up its servicing.Consumables (chains, hammers, cutters) are also of Ukrainian manufacture.
UDS will conduct the pilot operation of the machine with the participation of engineers and designers from the Kramatorsk Heavy Duty Machine Tool Building Plant. For this purpose, the company has established a special commission of experienced specialists:
🔺 Ihor Hushel — head of the commission, head of the mechanized demining department, experienced sapper and engineer;
🔺 Serhiy Tsykenyuk — head of the humanitarian demining department "Center," experienced sapper, military engineer;
🔺 Oleksandr Vorozhkin — head of the mechanized demining group, experienced sapper;
🔺 Oleksiy Voytsekhovskyi — sapper-engineer;
🔺 Bohdan Oshkadyrov — deputy director of logistics, engineer.
🇺🇦 This year, the Ukrainian-made Germina will be available for sale in the Ukrainian humanitarian demining market!
