UDS has fully completed the demining of 258.1 ha at the Savanna agricultural enterprise

For the cleared land, UDS received 19 certificates of transfer of liability to the State from the Center for Mine Action.

The Savanna farm is located in the city of Snihurivka, Bashtanka District, Mykolaiv Oblast. Operations ran from November 2024 to May 2025. Even during the initial non-technical survey, dozens of craters, remnants of a multiple-launch rocket system, and fragments of a rocket stabilizer were found. The site had also witnessed the detonation of farm machinery on a TM-62M anti-vehicle mine.

UDS employed both mechanical demining (machines and equipment) and manual techniques on the site. The UDS Department of Special Operations was additionally called in to destroy and neutralize hazardous munitions.

💬 “The Savanna farm proved to be one of the most challenging and densely contaminated areas we have faced,”emphasizes project leader Yehor Voloshyn. “This is where our BOZENA machine hit a ‘sandwich’ charge—two TM-62 mines stacked together—and detonated. The unit was badly damaged and is still under repair.”

The Savanna field is now completely clear and has been handed back to the farmer for planting.
