UDS has completed demining by order of Vygidna Pokupka LLC

It is about demining 13.3 hectares of land in the village of Stoyanka, Kyiv region.

Vygidna Pokupka LLC is engaged in retail trade in non-specialized stores. Vygidna Pokupka LLC is a legal entity that owns and operates the Aurora chain of stores.

The company ordered services to demine a site in the village of Stoyanka, Kyiv region. Before the war, it was planned to build commercial real estate on this site, but the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia affected these plans. Now that the enemy has been pushed back from Kyiv, the investors have resumed their development plans. The area where the construction was planned was constantly shelled by the enemy and contaminated with explosives. To ensure safety at the construction site, Vygidna Pokupka LLC ordered demining from UDS on commercial terms.

“A large number of detonated remnants of various modifications and calibers of the explosive ordnance used to shell the surveyed areas were found at this site. In particular, there was an arrival of two aerial bombs and a threat of 82 mm mortar shells. The UDS demining team carried out the clearance using the EOD method and a technical survey with a handheld metal detector. Now these lands are not a threat and can be used for their intended purpose,” said Mykola Florko, UDS sapper.

The UDS Deputy CEO emphasized that the professionalism of the UDS team made it possible to complete all demining work.

“UDS deminers demined this area safely, on time and with high quality. As a result of the work, we received a certificate from the Center for Mine Action on the transfer of responsibility to the state, which inspected the land we demined,” said Volodymyr Beshley.

We are bringing back to life the land contaminated by war!
