The Memorandum provides, among other things:

✅ implementation of measures in the field of mine action on the territory of the Ivankiv Territorial Community;

✅ conducting informational and educational work with the population civil protection issues and the risks of explosive ordnance;

✅ promoting the development and implementation of local, regional, sectoral, national and international programs related to humanitarian demining;

✅ joint participation in the organization of educational, professional and informational events: congresses, seminars, conferences, trainings, exchange of experience, etc.;

✅ development of joint and participation in the development and implementation of mechanisms for advanced training and exchange of practical experience in the field of cooperation, etc.

Ivankiv is called the village that saved Kyiv from the offensive.

In February 2022, Russian troops first invaded the Chornobyl zone from Belarus and then surrounded Ivankiv. It is this section of the front that the Ukrainian military calls the fiercest place in the Russian attack on Ukraine, because after Ivankiv, the occupiers had the opportunity to advance on the Kyiv through Vyshhorod.

Russia pulled its equipment to the village, where fierce fighting was taking place, and set up a month-long blockade of civilians.

The local population was under occupation until April 1, when the Armed Forces of Ukraine finally managed to drive the Russians out of the settlement.

The Russian occupiers left behind a lot of explosive objects in Ivankiv and the surrounding villages.

The task of UDS is to cleanse the territory of the community from the dirt of war.

Work!
