UDS employees did a course of medical care
UDS employees have completed a course on medical support as part of internal training for SOPs
This is the second stream of training, with 38 participants.
As part of the module "Medical Support during Demining Operations", specialists got acquainted with the structure of medical support in UDS, the organization of medical support.
They learned how to provide first aid in various emergency conditions:
➖ Critical bleeding (their detection, types, and methods of stop);
➖ restoration of airway patency, assistance with pneumothorax;
➖ assessment of the scene;
➖ assessment of the state of consciousness of the victim;
➖ Communication with the victim;
➖ the basics of triage, assistance in case of massive losses (two or more victims);
➖ Distribution of responsibilities and areas of responsibility in the event of an emergency;
➖ Assisting various types of injuries: fractures, burns, injuries to the head, eyes, pelvis, etc.;
➖ Management of other injuries and non-critical bleeding;
➖ Prevention of hypothermia;
➖ Emergency care for obstruction of the upper respiratory tract by a foreign body;
➖ assistance in case of sudden circulatory arrest - CPR - cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
