UDS discovered and neutralized EO from the Second World War

The projectile with an explosive substance had been lying deep in the ground for more than 80 years and had not been discovered by anyone before.

UDS sappers qualitatively go through every centimeter of the ground and find ammunition at any depth.

"On the territory of the Mykolayiv region, at a depth of one meter, a group of sappers of the UDS mechanized demining using a wide-frame metal detector discovered an artillery projectile from the Second World War. This warhead lay in the ground for more than 80 years.

Thanks to the professional, painstaking and prompt work of the VNP sappers, it was found and neutralized by the UDS destruction team," Serhii Tsykenyuk, head of the humanitarian demining department of the UDS, said.
