Ukrainian Demining Services LLC (UDS) has launched a non-technical survey (NTS) of 150 hectares of forest land in the Vyshhorod district of Kyiv region.

The survey of forest roads, adjacent areas, firebreaks, and compartment lines is being conducted on forest lands managed by the Ivankiv Forest District of the “Capital Forest Office” branch of the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine”, within the Rozvazhivske and Zelenopolianske forestries.

💬 “The non-technical survey is taking place in forests near the villages of Olizarivka, Rudnya-Sydorivska, and Sydorovychi of the Ivankiv territorial community.During the NTS, forestry workers, local residents, and representatives of village administrations from nearby settlements have already been interviewed. This region was under occupation and witnessed active combat. The villages and the surrounding forests were shelled. According to forestry workers from the Rozvazhivske forestry, they have repeatedly found remnants of explosive ordnance in the woods and fear that the area may still pose a danger.

Work is ongoing. We continue our efforts,” said Anna Anisimova, head of the UDS non-technical survey team.

It should be noted that the survey is being carried out based on signed memoranda of cooperation between Ukrainian Demining Services LLC, the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine”, and the State Agency of Forest Resources of Ukraine.

💬 “Our cooperation is already being implemented in practice. This is a very important step towards ensuring the safety of forestry workers and State Emergency Service units, as well as creating the prerequisites for the further recovery of territories affected by hostilities,” said UDS Deputy Director Volodymyr Beshley.
