UDS at URC-2025 in Rome: Presenting GERMINA-3000
URC-2025 officially kicked off in Rome — and Ukrainian Demining Services (UDS), together with the global community, are coordinating efforts to restore Ukraine. Our mission remains unchanged: to bring war-contaminated lands back to life.
This year’s Ukraine Recovery Conference gathered around 2,000 participants — from heads of state and government officials to global business leaders, civil society representatives, and international partners.
In his welcoming address, President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the unwavering international support and the irreversibility of Ukraine’s European course.
URC-2025 is a high-level platform for coordinating global efforts and investments in Ukraine’s transformation. The conference program focuses on four strategic directions: activating private sector engagement, developing human capital, strengthening local and regional development, and harmonizing with European standards within the framework of European integration and reforms.
Additionally, UDS participated in the conference, particularly in Workshop 2: “Rethinking Defense: Ukrainian Dual-Use Technologies and Innovations for Global Security.”
Among the speakers were Presidential Advisor Oleksandr Kamyshyn, Deputy Minister of Strategic Industries Anna Hvozdiyar, Deputy Head of Partnerships and International Cooperation Artem Moroz, as well as representatives of Ukrainian and international companies including TAF Drones, FRDM Group, General Cherry, MITS Capital, and CSIS.
Despite the defense focus of the discussion, UDS presented practical solutions for humanitarian demining, including the Ukrainian demining system GERMINA-3000, which enables efficient, rapid, and cost-effective clearance of contaminated areas using automated mechanized platforms.
This experience demonstrates that dual-use technologies can be key not only for defense capability but also for the safe and sustainable recovery of Ukraine.
