UDS are carrying out demining operations at the site of Sole Proprietor Bilous A.V. in the Kharkiv region

The site is located in the settlement of Kamianka, Izium District, Kharkiv Region. The works are being conducted on behalf of the Center for Humanitarian Demining.

The total area of the site is 397.8 hectares. Head of operations: Vitalii Kuprish.

The area is contaminated with anti-personnel mines, unexploded ordnance (Category II), abandoned explosive ordnance (Category I), cluster munitions, anti-vehicle mines, as well as small-arms ammunition with a caliber of up to 20 mm.

💬 “The territory of the settlement of Kamianka in the Izium District of the Kharkiv Region was under occupation by the russian army from April to September 2022. During this period, active hostilities involving various types of military equipment took place. The settlement and adjacent fields were subjected to intense shelling by MLRS and artillery. Movements of military equipment were recorded nearby, and firing positions were established in forest belts and neighboring fields, which were also shelled. Several units of military equipment were destroyed in this area. As a result of the hostilities, the site is contaminated with explosive hazards and poses an increased risk for agricultural use,” said Vitalii Kuprish, Head of Operations.
