UDS and the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration signed a memorandum on demining: What does this mean for the Mykolaiv region?

UDS and the Mykolaiv District Military Administration have agreed to cooperate in the field of mine action and humanitarian demining. The corresponding memorandum between UDS and the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration was signed on February 22.

💬 "Mykolaiv district was very badly damaged during the occupation. Demining agricultural land is a priority for local authorities, because the resumption of farming is the return of jobs and replenishment of the community budget. Therefore, I am glad to welcome the activities of UDS in the Mykolaiv region," said Maksym Kashuba, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

🔹Within the framework of the memorandum, UDS, as a national mine action operator, at the request of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, undertook to carry out a non-technical survey of agricultural land contaminated by the war on its own and at its own expense.

🔹UDS is already actively working in the district. In particular, in the village of Kyselivka, which was under occupation for a long time and under heavy enemy fire.

🔹In February 2024, UDS specialists, at the request of local farmers, have already conducted a non-technical survey of 172 hectares of fields in the village of Kyselivka and found a lot of explosive debris left behind by the Russian occupiers.
