UDS and the European Business Association Discuss Cooperation in the Field of Humanitarian Demining
The management of UDS held working negotiations with representatives of the European Business Association (EBA) to strengthen cooperation within the business community in the processes of Ukraine’s safe recovery.
UDS was represented by Acting General Director Oleksandr Romaniuk and Head of the International Cooperation Department Serhii Nerpii.
The EBA delegation included:
▪️ Svitlana Mykhailovska, Deputy Director for Member Company Advocacy
▪️ Viktoriia Kulykova, Head of Committees Department
▪️ Andrii Zakarlyuka, Head of Business Development Department
The parties focused on the role of humanitarian demining as a prerequisite for restoring investment activity, rebuilding infrastructure, and enabling businesses to return to de-occupied territories. The discussion emphasized the need for systematic communication with EBA member companies regarding land clearance opportunities and the implementation of comprehensive demining projects.
Special attention was given to the prospects for joint initiatives aimed at creating a safe environment for business operations and attracting investment.
Background
The European Business Association was founded in 1999 with the support of the European Commission in Ukraine and today unites more than 900 companies. The Association is one of the most influential business communities in the country, ensuring the protection of investors’ interests, fostering partnerships, and facilitating effective dialogue between business and government.
UDS continues to expand cooperation with leading business communities to ensure the safe return of war-contaminated territories to productive use and to support Ukraine’s sustainable economic development.
