UDS and the Charitable Organization “INTERNATIONAL CHARITABLE FOUNDATION ‘ETERNAL VALUES’” are joining efforts to cooperate in the field of humanitarian demining

Under the signed Memorandum, UDS, in collaboration with the Foundation and with the involvement of funds/grants from international donors, plan to focus their joint activities on the development of innovative educational and training programs, professional development programs, and vocational education in the field of mine action, in particular for the training of mechanized demining specialists.

The training will be based at the UDS Training and Testing Complex, located within the Makariv Territorial Community, just 60 km from Kyiv. The complex covers an area of approximately 10 hectares, featuring diverse terrain including flat and hilly sections, forested areas, sandy terrain, and more.

The Training and Testing Complex includes:

🔹 the capability to quickly set up tracks and obstacle courses for light and heavy mechanized demining equipment;

🔹 testing sites for unmanned aerial and ground robotic systems, metal detectors, and specialized demining equipment;

🔹 facilities within a secured area that allow lectures and training sessions for small groups (up to 10 participants) to be conducted year-round. The facilities can also be used as a small hotel to accommodate a limited number of guests.

“UDS, as a leader in the application of mechanized demining, is focusing its efforts on scaling up the fleet of domestically produced remotely operated demining machines GERMINA URCM 3000, which offers the highest efficiency in its class in terms of price-to-performance ratio. This equipment significantly accelerates land clearance and makes the process safer for mechanized demining operators. That is why the development of training programs and the preparation of mechanized demining specialists based on these programs is currently an innovative, promising, and important area within mine action,” said Serhii Simonov, Commercial Director of UDS, during his meeting with Anastasiia Bryzhan, Director of the Foundation.

The mechanized humanitarian demining market in Ukraine is emerging as a long-term industry focused on serial production, servicing, and continuous equipment modernization.

This is not about one-time procurements, but about a systematic industrial cycle involving regular fleet renewal, developed repair infrastructure, spare parts supply, and localized production.
