UDS and Kyiv OVA signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

🇺🇦 The purpose of the Memorandum is effective cooperation, interaction and coordination of activities to achieve a positive result when carrying out measures in the field of mine action in the territory of Kyiv region in close coordination with the Mine Action Center.

The signing of the Memorandum became possible as a result of working meetings with the Deputy Head of the Kyiv OVA Dmytro Kuchera and acting Deputy Director of the Department of Civil Protection and Defense Work of the Kyiv OVA Oksana Maksymchuk during the working meeting of the first deputy head of the Kyiv OVA Mykola Boyka on issues of improving the efficiency of work in the field of humanitarian demining in the territory of Kyiv region.

With the assistance of local authorities and self-government, UDS sappers have already carried out a non-technical survey of 1,600 hectares and demined 20 hectares of the territory of Kyiv region contaminated by remnants of war.

💬 "Safe and demined territories are the basis for the restoration of local communities: agriculture, social infrastructure, and economic life," said Serhii Simonov, head of the UDS service implementation department.
