Two UDS Sapper Teams Conducting Survey in Bashkansky District, Mykolaiv Oblast

Two UDS sapper teams are conducting a survey in the Bashkansky district of Mykolaiv Oblast.

Public opinion surveys are an essential element of work during non-technical surveys. It helps to understand the type of contamination of territories and the threat posed by direct witnesses of events.

Residents who are land users subject to survey are involved in the survey. Officials/workers of special services/local government authorities/local population in settlements closest to the surveyed territory are also engaged.

In government agencies, police, and other services, we gather information about the presence of minefields, both laid by our defenders and occupiers, information about landing sites, if possible—details about what landed and where. We inquire about any accidents involving people, animals, or equipment on the territory surveyed by UDS.

Safe routes to the areas surveyed by our teams are planned based on survey data, and the method of survey is selected. The initial conclusion regarding contamination is formed by the UDS team based on data collected from all parties.

After completing the survey, our sappers conduct a visual inspection using specialized drones.

The territory identified as dangerous is marked with appropriate signs.

The work is ongoing!

Take care! 🇺🇦
