The UDS team conducted coordination and practical sessions with non-technical survey (NTS) experts.
Inclement weather conditions prevent humanitarian demining activities.
However, they allow us to improve our skills! Yesterday, the UDS team conducted coordination and practical sessions with non-technical survey (NTS) experts.
Humanitarian demining is prohibited under such weather conditions, so we are enhancing the practical readiness of our experts through situational modeling. The team interviewed witnesses, surveyed areas likely contaminated with explosive objects, collected coordinate data for mapping the contaminated area, and marked the surveyed territory.
NTS is a crucial stage of humanitarian demining. It is the first step toward liberating Ukrainian lands from explosive remnants of war.
Therefore, the skills and expertise of NTS specialists must meet all standards. This is a highly responsible mission because the effectiveness of sappers' work depends on them.
UDS is doing everything to ensure that as weather conditions improve for humanitarian demining, our specialists provide professional NTS services.
So, we are improving on all fronts! More updates to come.
