The Supervisory Board approved the report on the results of the UDS work: 11 groups of sappers were created, 7 Bozena vehicles were purchased, 3000 hectares of land were surveyed

The Supervisory Board of the National Mine Action Operator Ukrainian Demining Services, chaired by Yaroslav Nad, approved the company's report for the entire period of activity — from September 2023 to June 2024.

The purpose of establishing the company in September 2023 was to occupy a leading position in the humanitarian demining market in Ukraine, as the largest mine action operator specializing in demining using machines and mechanisms and capable of performing a full range of services, from non-technical inspection to demining and destruction of explosive ordnance.

Our mission is to bring war-torn lands back to life.

From January 1, 2024, UDS acquired the status of a mine action operator.

So, what have we managed to do during this time:

✅ have been certified for the  following processes: non-technical inspection, technical inspection, manual demining, demining with the use of machines and mechanisms, cleaning the area of hostilities, informing the public about the risks associated with mines and explosive remnants of war. A certificate of conformity for the process of "neutralization (destruction) of mines/explosive remnants of war" was also obtained.

✅ have been certified for compliance of the quality management system with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2015 and the AQAP 2110:2016 standard ("NATO requirements for design, development and production"); environmental management systems with the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001:2015; occupational health and safety management systems of the ISO 45001:2018 standard.

✅  7 units of  equipment for remote demining were purchased: 5 Bozena 5+ systems and 2 Bozena 4+ systems.

✅  11 groups of sappers have been formed, which are equipped with advanced equipment and means of work.

As for the execution of works, the following was carried out:

✅ 7 events to inform the populationabout the risks associated with mines and explosive remnants of war for an audience of 178 people.

✅ нетехнічне обстеження 3 000 га.

✅ ORBD/demining with the use of machines and mechanisms of  45 hectares, as well as demining work continues on an area of about 57 hectares.

In addition, UDS conducted a number of demonstration activities to familiarize themselves with mine action processes, including the operation of Bozena remote demining vehicles.

Therefore, today UDS is the largest national mine action operator in Ukraine.

The company is a member of the Ukrainian Association of Humanitarian Demining Operators and the Ukrainian National Association for Humanitarian Demining. He is a regular participant in thematic events in the field of demining.

The company employs 137 people, of which 116 are directly related to the organization and conduct of mine action activities.

It took only a few months from creation to formation, but today the company is already able to clear (demine) 300 hectares per month and conduct non-technical surveys of 3,000 hectares per month.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board of UDS, former Minister of Defense of Slovakia Jaroslav Nagy stressed that he is very pleased with the pace of the company's deployment.

Member of the Supervisory Board, Head of the Ukrainian National Association for Humanitarian Demining Mary Hakobyan also noted the quality of the company's deployment: "Thank you very much for the report. It reflects very well the pace at which the company has been operating and the rapid deployment. UDS is prepared very well and formed for the long term, I can only support and wish success."

Also, at the meeting of the Supervisory Board, the Company's Action Plan until the end of 2024 and the main areas of activity were approved.
