The state has assumed responsibility for the 9.2 hectares of demined land in Kyiv region, previously cleared by UDS

UDS sappers conducted the clearance using Bozena 4+ and 5+ remote mine clearance systems, as well as manual methods.

"On behalf of the national countermine action authority, I certify the transfer of responsibility from the UDS mine action operator to the state. I also certify that the plots in the village of Makariv, Kyiv region, have been cleared/demined of explosive remnants of war to a depth of 15 cm," said Yevhenii Biryukov, head of the Countermine Action Center, Colonel.

Vladimir Beshlei, Deputy General Director of UDS, expressed gratitude for the trust and cooperation on behalf of the national operator.

"The works were carried out in accordance with order No. 622 of June 4, 2024. UDS sapper teams have qualitatively, safely and quickly cleared the territory. From now on, the owners of these plots can use their land without restrictions," said Vladimir Beshlei, Deputy General Director of UDS.
