The Mine Action Center issued UDS 13 certificates for the cleared land of STOV “Husarivske”

UDS have completed humanitarian demining of 277.7 hectares of agricultural land belonging to STOV “Husarivske”, located within the Balakliia Territorial Community of Izium District, Kharkiv Region.

A total of 85 UDS specialists were involved in the operations.

💬 “At this site, we applied a comprehensive set of humanitarian demining processes: technical survey, demining using machines and mechanisms, as well as the Battle Area Clearance (BAC) method. The operations involved three Bozena 5+ machines and the ‘Zmii’ ground clearance system produced by the Ukrainian manufacturer Rovertech LLC. During the works on the agricultural fields, explosive hazards from both the current war and World War II were discovered, along with numerous craters and other traces of intensive hostilities,” said Vitalii Ilchuk, Site Manager.

The works successfully passed internal and external quality control. As a result, 13 certificates transferring responsibility for the cleared land to the State were issued by the Mine Action Center.

As of now, the entire 277.7 hectares can be used for their intended agricultural purpose.
