The latest Ukrainian mine-clearing system, the «Germina» has been presented to demining operators, diplomatic missions, and donor organizations. UDS organized a presentation of this new product from PJSC “Kramatorsk Heavy Duty Machine Tool Building Plant”. The Ukrainian remotely operated mine-clearing system is a long-awaited product that will significantly accelerate the clearing of Ukraine from the remnants of war.
📍 The event was held near Bucha, on the grounds of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences, which had recently been demined by UDS sappers. The machine was tested for speed, depth of explosive ordnance destruction, and other technical characteristics.
🇺🇦 The «Germina» proved to be fast and efficient, capable of clearing 1 hectare per hour.
✅ Several memorandums were signed during the event with demining operators regarding the order of "Germina URCM-3000" machines for humanitarian mine clearance.
Representatives of the Mine Action Center, UNOPS, and UNDP highly appreciated the machine’s ability to perform fast and efficient mine clearing.
The event was attended by representatives from the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the Ministry for Strategic Industries of Ukraine and the Mine Action Center.
Among the donors were representatives of UNDP in Ukraine, the embassies of EU countries in Ukraine, and UNOPS.
The event was also attended by demining operators from companies such as The HALO Trust Ukraine, Global Clearance Solutions, Nibulon, Demining Solutions, the Ukrainian Demining Agency UA Demining, Safe Ground Solutions, KAYA Safety Solutions Ukraine, Lidiorm, and DI 360.
The civil sector was represented by specialized organizations such as Invictus Global Response, the Ukrainian Association of Sappers, and the "Return to Life" Charitable Foundation.

Technical Specifications of the «Germina»:
«Germina» is designed to clear areas of antipersonnel and antivehicular mines, with blast resistance up to 9 kg of TNT. The system’s working components consist of chains with detonating hammers, allowing it to neutralize (destroy) 75% of munitions and detonate 15%. The basic configuration includes a universal bucket for safe soil movement, trench dismantling, and creating passageways.
The system is powered by a 380-horsepower engine, with a modern and economical Caterpillar engine ensuring low fuel consumption. The system is equipped with advanced electronics and is easy to maintain. Its productivity is 5,000 m² per hour, with the ability to adjust the soil processing depth to 5 cm, 15 cm, 25 cm, or 35 cm. The system weighs 16 tons and can be remotely controlled from distances of 1000 meters or more. It operates year-round, at temperatures ranging from -20°C to +45°C, with the ability to work continuously for 10 hours.
Thanks to its high mobility, the system ensures maximum effectiveness in the demining process. All components of the system are manufactured and serviced in Ukraine.
