The Head of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Mykolaiv Region, Mykola Panasenko, was presented with robotic machines used by UDS
In the Mykolaiv region, in the city of Snihurivka, at one of the most challenging sites β the "Savanna" farming enterprise β specialists from Ukrainian Demining Services LLC (UDS) introduced the Head of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in the Mykolaiv region, Mykola Panasenko, to the processes of humanitarian demining and modern equipment used in hazardous areas.
During the event, three robotic systems used for demining agricultural lands were demonstrated:
πΊ The BOZENA 5+ remotely operated demining system, manufactured by the Slovak company Way Industry,
πΊ The GERMINA Ukrainian demining system, developed and produced by PJSC Kramatorsk Heavy Machine Tool Building Plant,
πΊ The Ukrainian βZmiiyβ ground robotic clearance complex, developed by Rovetech.
Chief Panasenko noted the close and effective cooperation between the State Emergency Service and the UDS team in the Mykolaiv region, emphasizing the importance of coordination in the joint mission of clearing territories of explosive remnants of war.
As a reminder, UDS sappers have already demined and cleared over 40 hectares of land at the "Savanna" site. This area is extremely complex and heavily contaminated with dangerous remnants of war. It was here that a BOZENA vehicle was previously damaged after triggering two TM-62 anti-tank mines.
Recently, UDS sappers discovered and destroyed:
- 8 mortar rounds of 120 mm caliber,
- 2 PMN-2 anti-personnel mines.
The "Savanna" site is marked by a high probability of mined forest belts and adjacent territories. Potential threats include: anti-tank and anti-personnel mines, mortar and artillery shells of various calibers, multiple rocket launcher system projectiles, cluster munitions, OZM-72 and POM-2 mines.
πΊπ¦ We continue to work on our shared mission β restoring lands contaminated by war back to life!
