The Chairman of the Mykolaiv Regional Council Anton Tabunshchik attended the UDS demining demonstration event
The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, Anton Tabunshchyk, visited the contaminated area of the Mykolaiv region, which is being demined by UDS.
UDS familiarized with the processes of manual and mechanical demining, as well as discussed the main problematic issues in the field of humanitarian demining.
"As part of the organization's work, it is planned to inspect agricultural land in the Mykolaiv and Bashtanka districts of the region with a total area of 899.10 hectares and demine almost 500 thousand square meters (50 hectares) with special machines.
In March, UDS delivered five Bozena 5+ mechanized demining vehicles to Mykolaiv oblast.
"Modern technologies for high results! In addition, such equipment is used for humanitarian demining in Ukraine for the first time, and I am glad that it is in the Mykolaiv region. It allows clearing territories of anti-tank and anti-personnel mines of pressure or tension action. This machine clears up to 2 thousand square meters of land in one hour. This machine is Slovak-made, but UDS is currently working on localizing production. I am grateful to all the organizations that help our State Emergency Service in clearing the territories of Russian shells. This is a significant help not only for the safety of our people, but also for strengthening the economy," the chairman of the regional council summed up.
Ukraine's recovery begins with demining!
