Strengthening cooperation under the Memorandum with the Rohan Territorial Community

Serhii Simonov, Commercial Director of UDS, held a working meeting with the leadership of the Rohan Settlement Military Administration.

The meeting was attended by Mariia Chernenko, Head of the Rohan Settlement Military Administration, as well as Deputy Heads of the Settlement Council Vadym Poliakh and Yevheniia Yanzhula. The parties discussed in detail the current situation regarding explosive ordnance contamination across the community resulting from Russia's armed aggression.

The Rohan Territorial Community, located near Kharkiv, was under Russian occupation and on the front line from February to April 2022, suffering extensive damage to its critical infrastructure. In the spring of 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fully liberated the community. However, the area continues to face regular attacks by hostile UAVs and missile strikes.

"Together, we inspected the areas of the Rohan community that require priority Non-Technical Survey (NTS) followed by demining and clearance operations. This work is essential for the safe return of residents and for restoring the activities of local businesses and enterprises," said Serhii Simonov, Commercial Director of UDS.

Following the joint site inspection, UDS and the leadership of the Military Administration identified priority areas for further cooperation aimed at accelerating land clearance.

As a reminder, UDS and the Rohan Settlement Military Administration have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of humanitarian demining. In addition, the UDS East Humanitarian Demining Department is based in the settlement of Rohan.

We continue to join forces with local authorities to restore Ukraine's war-contaminated land to safe and productive use. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦
