Representative of the German GS Foundation familiarized himself with the operation of the Germina machine

Frank Abel, Senior Advisor on Humanitarian Demining at the GS Foundation, visited one of the sites in Kyiv Oblast where UDS is conducting humanitarian demining operations and observed the progress of work in winter conditions.

The visit took place at the SТОV “Derenkivets” site. It was at this location that the Ukrainian Germina-3000 machine had previously been demonstrated to international missions.

During today’s visit, the Foundation’s representative familiarized himself with the progress of UDS operations in winter conditions, as well as with how the company organizes fieldwork at a real humanitarian demining site.

On-site, Frank was accompanied by UDS Technical Director Eduard Drach, Head of the UDS “Center” Humanitarian Demining Department Serhii Tsykeniuk, and Head of the UDS International Cooperation Department Serhii Nerpii.

Special attention during the visit was given to the operation of the Ukrainian Germina-3000 machine. UDS representatives demonstrated how the demining system performs its functions in snow and low temperatures.

Following the visit, Frank highlighted the high functionality of the machine and its ability to operate stably and effectively in any conditions.

In addition, Frank noted that the GS Foundation is considering the possibility of using similar machines in its future operations.

“Such visits and exchanges of experience with international missions are an important part of UDS’s work — they help strengthen trust in Ukrainian technologies, develop partnerships, and scale mechanized solutions in the field of mine action,” emphasized Head of the UDS International Cooperation Department Serhii Nerpii.

Last year, representatives of this Foundation visited the production facilities of Germina machines directly at the Kramatorsk Heavy Machine Tool Building Plant.
