Remains of a Soviet soldier discovered again in the Kyiv region

During humanitarian demining operations at the AGRO-PROBA site, located within the Makariv settlement territorial community of Bucha district in the Kyiv region, UDS sappers have once again encountered the remains of a Soviet soldier from the Second World War.

Next to the soldier, a newspaper from 1941 and two hand grenades from the Second World War were found. In accordance with national standards, the discovery was reported to the Mine Action Center, local authorities, and handed over to the police.

This is already the second time the remains of a Soviet soldier have been discovered at this site.

Additionally, a 76 mm artillery shell from the Second World War and a more recent wartime munition — an RPG-22 — were found on the territory of the site.

Humanitarian demining operations are being carried out on a land plot of 75.3306 hectares commissioned by the Humanitarian Demining Center. The work is expected to be completed soon.
