Our female deminers have returned from the international IEDD training in Kosovo and delivered outstanding results

The UDS team successfully completed a four-week international course — IMAS IEDD Level 1 (Search) and Level 2 (Assistant Operator) — held at MAT Kosovo, one of the leading training centers in mine action.

And this is not just about participation — it’s about performance.

According to the final assessment, our deminers achieved high scores among an international group of participants:

🔹 Iryna Dutina — 97.8

🔹 Kateryna Prymak — 94.6

🔹 Anna Anisimova — 93.5

🔹 Nadiia Kudriavtseva — 92.4

🔹 Dariia Sheremet — 79.4

These results reflect not only knowledge, but also discipline, resilience, and consistent daily effort.

The training included advanced preparation in search, identification, and safe disposal of improvised explosive devices (IEDD) in accordance with IMAS standards. Participants worked with modern methodologies, specialized equipment, and practiced scenarios closely simulating real-life conditions.

Participation in the program was made possible within the framework of the “She is a Deminer” project.

The “She is a Deminer” program is implemented by the Ukrainian Deminers Association and the NGO “Girls” in cooperation with UN Women in Ukraine, with financial support from the Government of Canada (through the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development) and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia.

💬 “This is a very important and valuable experience for me. We gain new knowledge, work in line with international standards — and this definitely enhances our effectiveness in the field,” said Anna Anisimova, Head of the NTS Team at UDS.

Upon completion of the course, our team received IMAS IEDD Level 1 and Level 2 certification, confirming their qualifications at the international level.

We are proud! достойно represented UDS within the international community!
