Memorandum Signed with Sumy District State Administration

👉 UDS has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Sumy District State Administration in the field of humanitarian demining. The goal of the Memorandum is to ensure effective cooperation, interaction, and coordination between the parties to achieve results in the implementation of mine action activities in the Sumy district of Sumy region.

💬 "One of the priority areas of this cooperation in 2025 will be humanitarian demining of areas where the enemy has left behind its debris, which brings only death to civilians," stated Mykhailo Melnyk, the head of Sumy District State Administration.

As part of this partnership, UDS will implement a number of mine action processes, including:

• Non-technical survey of agricultural land;

• Informing the public about the risks associated with mines and explosive remnants of war;

• Humanitarian demining of agricultural land through manual and/or mechanized methods.
