Mary Hakobian joins UDS Supervisory Board
Mary Hakobian, Head of the Ukrainian National Association for Humanitarian Demining, former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, has joined the Supervisory Board of the national mine action operator UDS.
"Today, the state is facing a responsible task, a challenge - to bring back to life the Ukrainian lands contaminated by war. Everyone knows about Ukraine's contribution to global food security, as before the full-scale war, grain from Ukraine fed more than 400 million people worldwide. The war started by Russia has put this global order under threat, as well as Ukraine's economy.
UDS was established last year in response to the Government's call for the urgent need to develop the humanitarian demining sector. And today they are showing quite good results: from non-technical survey of sites to manual and mechanised demining," said Mary Hakobyan.
In turn, we would like to note that UDS is honoured to have such highly qualified demining specialists as Mary Hakobyan on the Supervisory Board. This shows that we are moving in the right direction.
As a reminder, Jaroslav Nagy, former Minister of Defence of Slovakia, was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of UDS.
