Launch of agricultural land clearance at STOV “Husarivske”
UDS has begun demining 277.7 hectares at STOV “Husarivske,” located in the Balakliia Territorial Community, Izium District, Kharkiv Region. Head of operations — Vitalii Ilchuk. A total of 85 UDS specialists are engaged.
We are applying several humanitarian demining processes: technical survey, mechanized demining (using machines and tools), as well as BAC (Battle Area Clearance). In the field we are operating three Bozena 5+ machines and the “Zmiy” ground-clearance system by the Ukrainian manufacturer Rovertech LLC.
💬 “We are conducting humanitarian demining on the fields of STOV ‘Husarivske.’ During the occupation the site came under intense shelling, so unexploded ordnance likely remains and there are many craters. There are plenty of challenges here — frequent air-raid alerts, EW (electronic warfare) activity, and heavy, waterlogged soil after rains,” noted Head of Operations Vitalii Ilchuk.
The work is being carried out on commission from the Center for Humanitarian Demining. We continue to work toward our core mission — bringing war-contaminated land back to life!
