Land Clearance Completed at the "Harmoniya" Farm in Mykolaiv Region
A 12.8-hectare area was safely, efficiently, and thoroughly cleared of the deadly remnants of war thanks to the use of modern remote-controlled demining machines.
During clearance operations at the fields of the "Harmoniya" farm in Mykolaiv region, explosive remnants of war were discovered, including PG 70–75 mm rounds, remnants of anti-tank missiles, fragments of a FAB-250 high-explosive aerial bomb, parts of an S-8 unguided rocket engine, as well as other explosive hazards left behind by active hostilities. All of these explosive items were destroyed and neutralized by the UDS team, most of them using robotic demining systems.
Background:During the Russian occupation in 2022, the land of the "Harmoniya" farming enterprise suffered significant damage. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES), mined areas were recorded near the village of Chervona Dolyna, where the farm is located. As a result, the agricultural fields became unsuitable for cultivation: both machinery and people were exposed to deadly danger, with incidents of farm equipment detonating on explosives.
Established in 1994, "Harmoniya" farm is known for growing grain and oilseed crops. Due to the threat left behind by the occupiers, the farm was forced to halt operations on parts of its land.
Now the cleared area is safe, and the farmer can once again use the land for sowing and restoring agricultural activity.
